Indicator 11 FAQs
1.I recently received the memo entitled Documenting and Correcting Indicator 11. My LEA uses CECAS to collect Indicator 11 data. Do I need to send in the spreadsheet that was attached to the memo?
No, the spreadsheet is only to be used by LEAs who do not use CECAS to document student data. These LEAs are: Wake, Charlotte-Mecklenburg, Forsyth, New Hanover, Union, Buncombe and Iredell-Statesville.
2.I recently received the memo entitled Documenting and Correcting Indicator 11. My LEA does not use CECAS to collect Indicator 11 data. Will the spreadsheet replace the XML upload that is collected in CECAS for Indicator 11?
No, the spreadsheet does not replace the upload. The spreadsheet is used to monitor the documentation of correction of non-compliance. The XML upload is used to report Indicator 11 to the federal government.
3.When I run the Indicator 11 Count Preview Report in CECAS, my rate is not 100% even though I do not have any students who are over the 90 day time line. Is the report broken?
No, the report takes the total number of referrals, then calculates the number of students who were Eligible within 90 days plus the number of students who were Not Eligible within 90 days and multiplies the total by 100. If your LEA has any referrals who are currently in process, they are not included in the formula and the rate is not complete. To see referrals that are currently in process, run the Indicator 11 Count Preview Report by Late Placement.
