8/11/2016 - September 2016 Periodic Count - End-of-Year Reporting: Exiting Data

The September 2016 Periodic Count to capture End-of-Year Reporting data on students Exiting special education will be collected from the Comprehensive Exceptional Children Accountability System (CECAS). The Exiting data are based on the July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016 fiscal year. The submission schedule is as follows:

LEA Submission Date
Initial Submission from all LEAs, all Charter Schools, all State Operated Programs 09/15/2016 through 09/23/2016
Deadline for Certification Status 09/30/2016

All errors must be corrected and all LEAs must certify their submissions no later than September 30, 2016. Test counts are available now until 9/14/2016.

A schedule of all of the Daily Users webinars for 2016 has been placed on the Documents tab of the CECAS Information site. Use this schedule and the accompanying links to register for the webinars for the coming year.

7/20/2016 - PowerSchool and CECAS Data Sync After EOY

We are beginning the sync of data between PowerSchool and CECAS. The Sync Status document has been updated on the CECAS Communication site at http://www.nccecas.org/downloads/downloads.html. The Sync Status document is sorted by LEA name so that LEAs may easily locate their status. The Sync Status document will be updated periodically as we move through the sync process. Some users may experience slowness in CECAS, while the sync is in process.

The FAQ on Private School Students (http://www.nccecas.org/faqs/privateschoolstudents.html) has been updated with information about documenting reevaluations and students who move from public to private schools.
